Terms of Service

Version 2026-04-27

What this means in plain English

  • FaujiLink is a directory. We connect you to employers — we are not your employer.
  • Be honest about your service record. False profiles are removed and the account is closed.
  • Employers must use contact details only to discuss work, never for marketing or resale.
  • You can close your account at any time. We delete your photo, audio, and video within 7 days.
  • Disputes are handled under Indian law in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The summary above is for clarity only. The full terms below are the binding version.

FaujiLink Terms of Service

Effective date: _[TO BE FILLED IN BEFORE PUBLIC LAUNCH]_ Version: 1.0 (draft) Operated by: Water Apps Pty Ltd (Australia), through FaujiLink (valorlink.in), a service for users in India.

These terms are a legal agreement between you and Water Apps Pty Ltd. By creating a FaujiLink account or using the service, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

We have written them in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, ask the Grievance Officer (contact details in the Privacy Policy).

1. Who can use FaujiLink

You can use FaujiLink only if all of these are true:

  1. You are at least 18 years old.
  2. You are signing up either as:
  • a professional (an ex-serviceman or ex-servicewoman of an Indian armed force — Army, Navy, Air Force, or another approved service), or
  • an employer (a person authorised to recruit on behalf of a registered company, firm or organisation).
  1. You give us truthful information.
  2. You are not currently banned from the service.

If you are signing up as an employer, you also confirm that you are authorised to act for the company you list.

If you are signing up as a professional, you confirm that you can produce evidence of your military service if our admin team asks (we verify offline — we do not collect Aadhaar; see no-aadhaar-policy.md).

2. Your account

  1. You are responsible for everything that happens through your account. Keep your password safe.
  2. Do not share your account, do not let anyone else log in as you, and do not use anyone else's account.
  3. We strongly recommend you turn on two-factor authentication.
  4. Tell us immediately if you suspect your account has been accessed by someone else.

3. What you must not do

You must not:

  1. Create a fake profile, impersonate another person, or claim military service you do not have.
  2. Harvest, scrape, or bulk-export contact details of other users (this is a hard rule — every contact reveal is logged and we will ban harvesters).
  3. Use revealed contact information for any purpose other than discussing a specific role with the candidate.
  4. Send spam, marketing pushes, multi-level-marketing pitches, religious or political solicitations, or unsolicited bulk messages of any kind to candidates whose mobile numbers you have revealed.
  5. Reveal or pass on a candidate's mobile number to any third party.
  6. Try to bypass rate limits, security controls, or our admin verification process.
  7. Upload content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes someone else's rights (intellectual property, privacy, etc.).
  8. Use the service to commit fraud — including job-offer fraud (no fake offers, no upfront-payment requests, no "training fees").
  9. Try to reverse-engineer, attack, or probe the service for vulnerabilities other than through our (planned) coordinated disclosure channel.
  10. Use automated agents, bots, or AI scrapers against the platform without written permission.

Breaking these rules can lead to your account being suspended or terminated, and we may report serious incidents (especially fraud or harassment) to law enforcement.

4. Acceptable contact behaviour for employers

When you reveal a candidate's mobile number, you may use it only for:

  • A single, role-specific outreach (call or WhatsApp) about a specific job opportunity.
  • Reasonable follow-up while you are actively considering the candidate for that role.

You must not:

  • Send marketing material.
  • Add the number to a CRM, mailing list, or WhatsApp group without the candidate's separate, explicit consent.
  • Pass the number to a colleague, partner agency, or any third party. If a colleague needs to contact the candidate, they should reveal the number through their own employer account.

If a candidate asks you to stop contacting them, stop immediately.

We log every reveal, monitor reveal patterns, and treat misuse as a fundamental breach of these terms.

5. Verification

Profiles are reviewed by our admin team before they appear in employer searches. Verification means we have done a basic, good-faith check on the service-record evidence you provided. It does not mean we vouch for any individual professional or any individual employer. Both sides are responsible for their own due diligence before entering into any employment, contract, or other arrangement.

6. Content you upload

6.1 What you upload

When you upload your photo, intro audio, intro video, bio, or other profile content (your "User Content") you confirm that:

  • You own it, or you have the right to upload it.
  • It does not infringe anyone else's rights.
  • It is accurate and not misleading.

6.2 Who owns it

You keep ownership of your User Content. We do not claim it as ours.

6.3 The licence you grant us

So we can actually display your profile to employers, you grant Water Apps Pty Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, transmit, display and process your User Content for the sole purpose of operating FaujiLink. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for cached copies that roll off naturally within 35 days.

We will not use your User Content to advertise the platform externally (e.g. as a testimonial, marketing image) without your separate, written consent.

6.4 Removing content

We can remove or hide content that breaks these terms or that we are required to remove by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.

7. Service availability

FaujiLink is provided on an "as available" basis. We aim for high uptime but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we can take the platform down for maintenance, security work or upgrades. We will give notice for planned downtime where we can.

This is an early-stage product. Features, layout, and limits can change.

8. Termination and deletion

8.1 You can leave at any time

Use the Delete account option inside the app, or email the Grievance Officer. We will delete your profile, your media files, and your DynamoDB records. Backups containing your data will roll off within 35 days. Audit-log entries (e.g. records of past contact reveals) will continue to expire on the standard 90-day TTL.

8.2 We can suspend or terminate

We can suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You break these terms or the Privacy Policy.
  • We are required to do so by law.
  • We have a reasonable suspicion of fraud, impersonation, harassment, or harvesting.

Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. For serious or urgent issues we may suspend first and explain afterwards.

8.3 What survives termination

Sections that should logically continue after termination — content licences for content already shown, limitation of liability, indemnity, and dispute resolution — continue to apply.

9. No professional or employment guarantee

FaujiLink is a discovery and contact platform. We are not your employer, your recruiter, or your agent. We do not guarantee:

  • That a professional will be contacted by any employer.
  • That an employer will hire any professional.
  • That any conversation, offer, or job that arises from the platform is suitable, lawful, or accurate.

You are responsible for your own due diligence before signing any agreement, accepting any payment, or sharing further personal information.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Water Apps Pty Ltd is not liable for:

  • Lost profits, lost wages, lost opportunities, or business interruption.
  • Indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages.
  • Anything done by another user (employer or professional) on or off the platform.
  • Service interruptions or data loss arising from events outside our reasonable control.

If, despite this clause, we are found liable to you for any reason connected with FaujiLink, our total combined liability in the 12 months before the claim arose is capped at the higher of (a) the fees you have paid us in those 12 months or (b) ₹10,000.

This is a pilot service. We say so plainly. If you need contractual guarantees beyond this, FaujiLink is not the right platform yet.

Nothing in this clause limits liability that cannot be excluded under law (for example, liability for gross negligence, fraud, or wilful misconduct).

11. Indemnity

If a third party makes a claim against us because you broke these terms, uploaded content you did not have the right to upload, or used the service unlawfully, you will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Water Apps Pty Ltd from that claim, including reasonable legal costs.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of _[city to be filled in — suggested: Bengaluru or New Delhi]_, India, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that is not resolved through the steps in section 13.

We have chosen Indian law on purpose. The fact that Water Apps Pty Ltd is registered in Australia does not change this.

13. Disputes — Grievance officer first, arbitration second

If you have a complaint:

  1. Step 1 — Grievance Officer. Email the Grievance Officer (details in the Privacy Policy). We will acknowledge promptly and try to resolve the issue with you directly.
  2. Step 2 — Arbitration. If we cannot resolve it, the dispute will be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India). The seat of arbitration is _[city to be filled in — match section 12]_. The language of arbitration is English. The arbitrator's decision is final and binding.
  3. Step 3 — Court only after arbitration. Court proceedings are limited to enforcement of the arbitral award and to the limited grounds permitted under the Act.

For consumer disputes that fall under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, nothing in this section prevents you from approaching the appropriate consumer forum.

14. Changes to these terms

We can change these terms. If we make a material change, we will:

  • Update the version and effective date at the top.
  • Show an in-app notice and ask you to re-accept the new terms. You will not be able to use FaujiLink until you do.

We will not pre-tick the acceptance box and we will not bundle changes with unrelated consents.

15. Miscellaneous

  • Severability. If any clause is unenforceable, the rest of the terms still apply.
  • No waiver. If we don't enforce a clause once, that doesn't mean we are waiving it.
  • Whole agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about FaujiLink.
  • Assignment. You can't transfer your account or these terms to anyone else. We may assign them to an entity that acquires our business.

16. Contact
